According to FOX Sports‘ Ken Rosenthal, the San Diego Padres have recently inquired on the availability of Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder, Ender Inciarte.
Rosenthal reports that the Padres had previously contacted the D-Backs on the possibility of a trade for Inciarte and second baseman Aaron Hill earlier this year, during Spring Training.
Inciarte is currently hitting .287/.315/.372 for Arizona this season. I would actually be pretty happy about acquiring a young and talented outfielder like Inciarte. However, Rosenthal does not think the D-Backs are interested in a trade, since Inciarte is under team control until 2020. I have to agree with Rosenthal here, I don’t see the D-Backs trading away their young and controllable talent, especially to a division rival.
What do you guys think, would you want to trade for Inciarte? What would you be willing to part with for him?
