While the 2025 MLB season is hitting its most exciting part of the season, Minor League Baseball is all but wrapped up. A few Padres minor leaguers were recognized as top players in Single-A and High-A recently, but now that Triple-A is done, the Pacific Coast League handed out their awards.

Infielder Yonathan Perlaza and catcher Luis Campusano were named PCL All-Stars for the 2025 season following tremendous offensive campaigns.

Perlaza, 26, set El Paso Chihuahas a team record in doubles (49) while clubbing 19 home runs, 113 RBIs, 106 runs, 15 stolen bases, and two triples. He slashed .307/.391/.510

Besides May, Perlaza batted .300 or better in each month, including a season-best .365 in April. He was a .333 hitter in August, and .329 in September to close out the season on a high note.

Campusano, 26, has seen his struggles at the big league level, but his dominance in Triple-A was second to none. He broke a franchise record in home runs after muscling 25 this season. He also went for 25 doubles, 95 RBIs, 83 runs scored, and one triple.

Campusano's slash line was .336/.441/.595. He ended the season on a high note, hitting safely in 13 of 14 games in September, batting .377 this month. He was at his peak in August, when he batted .418 with eight home runs, six doubles, and 26 RBIs.

El Paso finished the season 81-67 overall, but they were the top team in the second half of the season in the East League, going 43-30. San Diego's Double-A affiliate, the San Antonio Missions, did not have any player recognized as a league All-Star. This was the only level to not have a Padres minor leaguer be named to a postseason list in 2025.
