Fernando Tatis Jr. is an icon. His talent and his swagger has turned him into one of the biggest names in baseball, especially on an international level.
At just 26 years old, Tatis Jr. will once again be a leader in the San Diego Padres' clubhouse, and arguably could blossom into the game's best player in 2025. As he gets ramped up for competition in spring training, though, he's inking more deals outside of baseball to further grow his brand. This week, Tatis Jr. signed a management deal with Rimas Sports, an agency that is partially owned by music star Bad Bunny.
Word going around: Padres superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. is considering hiring Bad Bunny’s Rimas group to personally manage him (for marketing and maybe more)

Fernando Tatis Jr. signs management deal with Bad Bunny's agency
Tatis Jr. will join the agency in what will essentially be a marketing partnership, which could turn into business and philanthropic ventures, too. Rimas Sports already represents other MLB players in Ronald Acuña Jr. (Atlanta Braves), Ezequiel Tovar, (Colorado Rockies) and Francisco Alvarez (New York Mets), making Tatis Jr. their latest marquee signing.
Tatis Jr. seeking representation in this realm comes to no surprise. He has been on the cover of MLB The Show, and also starred in Adidas and Gatorade advertisements. He's become one of the most recognizable players in baseball, so this partnership felt inevitable.
On the field, Tatis Jr. is set to return to the outfield with the Padres alongside rising star Jackson Merrill and seasoned veteran Jason Heyward. If everything goes according to plan, then San Diego could have one of the best defensive outfields in Major League Baseball, considering everyone is entering the new season with full health.
At the plate this spring, Tatis Jr. is 1-for-6 entering Wednesday with one run scored across three games. He began spring training battling an illness, so as he gets back to game speed, Padres fans are excited to see their star player perform on and off the field moving forward. It will be fun to see what Rimas Sports has up their sleeve to bolster Tatis Jr.'s image.
