Awful Announcing has released it's 2025 rankings of every MLB TV broadcast crew, and the San Diego Padres have earned the top spot.

The team of Don Orsillo, Mark Grant Jesse Agler, and Tony Gwynn Jr. was praised by the fans who voted in Awful Announcing's poll. They return to the top spot in the rankings for the first time since 2019, after finishing in third place each of the past two years.

Padres' TV broadcast team earns top honors in 'Awful Announcing' poll

Among 1,507 fans who voted, the Padres broadcast crew received 1,047 A's. They received 69.5% A's, the best percentage in the league. On the other hand, they received only 34 F's, the fifth-fewest F grades in the league. Overall, 94.6% of fans gave the crew a grade of a C or higher, which was also the best in the league.

Grant, who joined the Padres broadcast team in 1996, is now in his 30th year covering the team. Orsillo, meanwhile, is in his tenth year after moving from Boston in 2016.

The comment section of the poll was full of fans backing the Padres broadcast crew as the best in baseball. There were a few negative comments, mostly critiquing Orsillo for getting too excited at times when it's not warranted. Orsillo is compassionate and emotional, though, which Friar fans adore about him.

Still, the majority of fans were very positive towards the Padres announcing crew, and it is an honor for the group to be ranked in first place.

In fact, the Padres broadcasters are so iconic that just a few weeks ago, they were impersonated by a pair of kids almost perfectly. In a hilarious bit, the 'kidcasters' dressed up as Grant and Orsillo and announced the Padres' starting lineup.

The boys nailed the outfits, and one of them even wore a bald cap to impersonate Grant.

With the newly crowned top broadcast crew in the league, the team on the field should have even more motivation to finish the season strong and win the World Series. After all, the best broadcast crew deserves to be calling games for the best team.
