Pick any affiliate of the San Diego Padres to watch on any given night and you’ll be in for a treat. The Minor League Baseball season will kick-off this Thursday with all four Padres’ affiliates in action on the road.

The El Paso Chihuahuas (AAA), San Antonio Missions (AA), Lake Elsinore Storm (A+), and Fort Wayne TinCaps (A) are in the process of releasing their Opening Day rosters, each of which is stacked with unbelievable talent. Hot Talent Lava, if you will.

Each morning leading up to MiLB Opening Day, we will take a look at two prospects from each team that fans should pay close attention to in 2018. These won’t be your top prospects, instead, we’re going to dig a little deeper. Minor league baseball is an endless treasure trove of unique and interesting talent, so let’s shed some light on these hopeful major leaguers who will be grinding it out daily down on the farm.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps feature seven of the Top 30 prospects in the San Diego Padres system.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps call Fort Wayne, Indiana home and play in the Midwest League. They finished with a 68-72 overall record in 2017, finishing 42-28 (2nd place) in the second half of the season after a 26-44 (last place) start to the year.
