San Diego Padres Face Arizona and Miami in Upcoming Homestand
The San Diego Padres open up a 6 game home stand Tuesday night featuring three games with Arizona and three with Miami at Petco Park.
The Padres just got swept by the Atlanta Braves Monday night, as Dansby Swanson delivered a walk off single.
The Padres will have to clear that out of their minds immediately as they come back to San Diego with the opportunity to face a familiar foe in the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Arizona is slated to throw Shelby Miller on Tuesday, Zach Greinke on Wednesday, and Patrick Corbin on Thursday with the Padres throwing Jarred Cosart, Jhoulys Chacin, and Clayton Richard respectively. Arizona just split the series with the Dodgers yesterday. A.J. Pollock and David Peralta are hot right now with both of them getting 4 hits last night.
The Padres also have some bright spots, too. Franchise player Wil Myers is batting .368 with nine RBI’s, and three home runs. Also, Austin Hedges is finally getting some contact, hitting two home runs in the last three games.
