Per Jon Morosi, both the Houston Astros, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Baltimore Orioles have contact the San Diego Padres about acquiring All-Star outfielder, Justin Upton.
If the Padres are going to deal Justin Upton to one of these teams, I’d prefer the Astros or Pirates because of the strength of their farm system and prospects.
The Orioles have also been rumored to be interested in other outfielders, like the Milwaukee Brewers‘ Carlos Gomez, but experts, like Ken Rosenthal, don’t think Baltimore have the prospects to make a big trade.
So, if the Padres do make a trade with one of these three, who would you want in return for Upton? Stay tuned to Friars On Base for updates and rumors as we get closer and closer to the trade deadline.
