Padres News: June 26th Recap
Cory Spangenberg hustled his butt off to get the San Diego Padres the series opener win over the Arizona Diamondbacks, 4-2. The Padres rookie went 3-3 and scored two of the Padres four runs.
Tyson Ross and the Padres bullpen held the D-Backs to just two hits, and two runs. Ross threw six innings, giving up the two hits and two runs. The bullpen did their job and Craig Kimbrel got the save.
This was a win the Padres really needed. After a long and rough roadtrip, coming home and getting a win has to feel pretty good. Lets hope the good vibes last through the weekend.
