Padres News: Padres Draft Austin Smith

Well, we had to wait a while but the San Diego Padres finally got to make a pick in this years MLB Draft.

With the 51st pick the Padres has selected Austin Smith, RHP from Park Vista Community High School.

Initial thoughts, he’s super young but sounds like he’s a hard thrower. We’ll have more info on Austin Smith and if/when he will sign with the Padres on Friars On Base soon. Stay Tuned!
