The Padres were only able to muster one run, which came from a Will Venable single in the seventh that knocked in Derek Norris; which tied the game at one a piece but homers continued to be a problem for our bullpen who gave one up to Joc Pederson in the eighth to seal our defeat.
The Padres now sit at 20-23 on the season and while the season is still not lost, it’s beginning to feel that way. Something has to change and this time I don’t think the answer if firing the Hitting Coach.

I hate to say it – I really hoped it wouldn’t come to this back when the season started – but it’s time to fire Buddy Black.
