Yesterday the San Diego Padres and Tyson Ross defeated the Chicago White Sox 10-4. Today the Padres took on their Peoria co-tenants, the Seattle Mariners.

Andrew Cashner got the start for the Pads on the mound today, throwing for four innings and giving up six hit and three runs.

The rest of the Padres bullpen performed well, allowing only one other run in the eighth inning.

The Padres’ bats came out again, racking up six runs to contend with Seattle’s four.

Jedd Gyorko (1-3) seems to have found his bat again. After his horrible start, the second baseman has raised his Spring Training batting average to .257.

Matt Kemp (2-4) continues to show everything Padres fans were hoping for. This Cactus League season the right fielder is slashing .367/.406/.667.

The Padres will be counting on these two a lot this season. Here’s praying their hot springs continue all the way to October!

We’ll be back tomorrow with a recap of the Padres game against the hated Los Angeles Dodgers.

Until next time, Friar Faithful. Go Pads!
