Dennis Lin of The San Diego Union Tribune reports that San Diego’s beloved Ron Burgundy, a.k.a. Will Ferrell, is planning to play in all Cactus League games this Thursday; playing each position once.
There are five ballparks scheduled for Cactus League games this Thursday, so will he be able to last the entire day? I’m Ron Burgundy?
Ferrell will travel via helicopter around the Phoenix area to reach each ballpark in time. Some game times have already been changed to accommodate the HBO special that will be filming for cancer awareness around the Cactus League ballparks that day. The Padres-Dodgers game was originally scheduled for 1:05 p.m. but has been moved to 6:15 p.m. that evening.
If you’ve seen “The Other Guys” you have to hope for limited “TLC” references and our beloved Padres are unharmed.
