What is a San Diego Padres caravan? Well it is brand new idea brought to you by the Padres and their management. Padres players, coaches, executives, broadcasters and staff will travel around San Diego county.
They will be meeting fans, volunteering and visiting out local military. The caravan gets on its way on Friday morning at the same time single-game tickets go on sale at the ticket office. 9 a.m. Friday morning.ÂÂ

The Padres first stop will be at Mission Beach Park, where they will be joined by representitives of Toyota. The Padres Volunteer Team is a new concept this year where it calls for all San Diegans to volunteer their time in the community.
As of now, the following are scheduled to take place from the Padres organization. Tome Seidler from the Padres ownership group will be in attendance. Padres coaches Dave Roberts, Mark Kotsay and Glenn Hoffman will be present. Also representing the team itself will be: Clint Barmes, Joaquin Benoit, Tommy Medica, Wil Myers, Derek Norris, Dale Thayer, Justin Upton and Nick Vincent.
Friday morning at the Mission Beach Park. 9:00 am, It all kicks off.
