A.J. Preller, General Manager of our San Diego Padres isn’t messing around this off season. He has upgraded the Padres’ offense significantly, if you were unsure of the hiring of A.J. Preller, you shouldn’t be now. This guy is awesome! He definitely earns his paycheck if you ask me. He is the best GM the Padres franchise has seen in a very long time. He is aggressive which is a quality I think that any general manager needs to have. One thing for sure is that at least on paper, the Padres are going to go from a team that is rebuilding, to a team that looks like a serious contender all within a year, and it’s all because of the Padres front office appointment of A.J. Preller.

This GM is what the Padres’ faithful have been waiting for, for several years. A GM who would put a contending team together, and have them flocking to Petco Park everyday during the season. Well guess what? That is exactly what we the fans got, A GM who WANTS to get the San Diego Padres to the playoffs again! I feel like A.J. Preller was Santa Claus this year for me, because my prayers as a fan got answered. I definitely unwrapped a few early Christmas presents from Preller and the front office of the Padres this year, and for the first time in a long time, I am NOT cautiously optimistic, I’m completely confident about baseball in San Diego.
