Seth Smith Could Be First Outfielder Moved
Padres are wheeling and dealing this offseason. The dealing will continue and it looks like Seth Smith a.k.a “the missing piece” could be the first of a mob of outfielders that are still hanging around to be dealt.

Moving Smith makes sense of course considering the moves for Matt Kemp and a huge three-way trade involving 24-year-old Wil Myers from the Tampa Bay Rays. Some Padres fans could be upset considering Smith was one of best hitters on the team and has had success at Petco Park. But this was a Josh Byrnes guy, so Preller has no relations with Smith.
Reports are that the Mariners and Orioles are interested in Smith. Baltimore makes the most sense since they lost Nick Markakis to the Braves and Nelson Cruz to Seattle. No word yet of who would be involved in the deal in return or other teams interested in a three-way deal.
