Oh My!! Does anyone recognize who’s signature that is?Well let me tell you! Dick Enberg broadcaster of our San Diego Padres! The Friars may not have gotten any deals done yet, but there is news to report regarding the Padres. We here at Friars On Base are extremely proud to announce that Padres Broadcaster Dick Enberg has won the Frick Award which is the highest honor that could be bestowed upon a broadcaster. The award is given to the top broadcaster for a lifetime of baseball work.He will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame in July. I have personally had the privilege to meet Dick Enberg and had the honor of shaking his hand. He is truly a great person, and his passion for the game of baseball is undeniable as you can see it in his eyes. Mr. Enberg works with one of the funniest broadcasters and my personal favorite broadcaster of all-time Mark Grant, the two of them are great guys and make watching Padres games more enjoyable than ever!
