MLB Power Rankings: Where the San Diego Padres rank in OPS+
Let's take the statistics one step further and look at OPS+ and how the Padres are faring in that category. You can read more about OPS+ here, but MLB.com's definition of it reads, "OPS+ takes a player's on-base plus slugging percentage and normalizes the number across the entire league. It accounts for external factors like ballparks. It then adjusts so a score of 100 is league average, and 150 is 50 percent better than the league average."
Six Padres currently have an OPS+ of 100 (considered league average or better) — Bogaerts (156), Matt Carpenter (153), Nelson Cruz (135), Juan Soto (115) and Jake Cronenworth and Trent Grisham each posting a 103.
