The playoffs are where legends are made. From late inning heroics to gems on the mound to clutch plays, the postseason is where some of the most important baseball history is written for better or for worse. In the case of San Diego Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar, his moment (or at least one of them) came in the first inning of Game 2 of the NLDS against the Dodgers.

After Yu Darvish won his first match-up against Shohei Ohtani to lead off the bottom of the first, Mookie Betts came to the plate. Betts promptly ambushed a first pitch slider and drove it to left field. Profar leapt at the wall and everyone, including Betts, thought he had just hit a solo home run.

That is, everyone except Profar as he had made the catch and promptly stared down a bunch of Dodgers fans before revealing to everyone that he made the catch.

Jurickson Profar's home run robbery saved the Padres and ripped Dodgers' fans hearts out

This was A+ trolling by Profar. It was an incredibly difficult play to make especially for a guy that isn't exactly known for his defense. However, he made the grab amidst a sea of Dodgers fans trying to do the same. He pulled it down and immediately stared down those same fans and let them know he was extremely pleased to have ruined their evenings. What a sight.

You can add this to Profar's growing history with the Dodgers. Profar was famously disrespected by LA catcher Will Smith earlier this year and it has been Profar's personal mission to make him and the rest of LA regret that decision ever since.

Will that play ultimately decide the outcome of the game? That remains to be seen. Fernando Tatis Jr. gave the Padres an early lead with a solo homer and David Peralta JUST connected for a two-run shot to give San Diego a 3-0 lead. However, Profar's play definitely gave the Padres an advantage when it came to momentum and energy. One just hopes that the Padres can parlay that into a win on the road before heading back home.
