Fernando Tatis Jr. is the gift that keeps on giving for the San Diego Padres and its fans. While he is one of the most exciting and talented players in the league, Tatis Jr. literally came in gift form on Monday night.
The Padres had one of the more interesting giveaways to open the series against the Washington Nationals, handing out a bobblehead of Tatis Jr. But they got a little creative with it. Tatis Jr., wearing the City Connect uniform, is holding a bat in his right hand that can spin around, which gives the look of him flipping a bat.

The bobblehead was given out to 40,000 fans, and of course, Tatis Jr. hit a home run on the same night (even if the Padres were already losing big against the Nationals).
Tatis Jr. mashed a three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to spark some late life in the Friars' dugouts.

San Diego has three more bobblehead giveaways for the 2025 season. On Wednesday, August 20 against the San Francisco Giants, the Padres are giving away 40,000 Michael King bobbleheads. And of course, this was has some creativity as well. This bobblehead has King wearing a crown and a golden cape. Hopefully King is back from the injured list at that point as the Padres make a playoff push.
On Wednesday, September 10, the Padres are giving away 40,000 Dylan Cease bobbleheads to commemorate his no-hitter, which was thrown on July 25, 2024 against the Nationals.
The final giveaway of the 2025 season is also a bobblehead, which will be on Monday, September 22 against the Brewers. 40,000 Luis Arraez bobbleheads will be given out to commemorate his three-straight batting titles.
From the Padres: "The back-to-back-to-back Batting Champion AKA “The Sprinkler” is sure to “spray” a hit somewhere on the field. You’ll want to be one of the first 40,000 fans in attendance to get your hands on a Luis “La Regadera” Arraez Bobblehead."
