When is San Diego Padres Opening Day?

According to USA Today’s Bob Nightengale, players have to report to Spring Training in three days, which would be Sunday, March 13, and training games will begin sometime the following weekend.

Opening Day will now be April 7. In order to complete a full 162-game season, MLB will have nine-inning doubleheaders and the season will be extended three days to make up for the time lost.
