Sleeper and Dynasty Picks from the Padres

MacKenzie Gore: If you’re in a dynasty league then Gore has to be near the top of your list of prospects to take.

It’s unclear if he’ll get an opportunity in 2020 or not, but I certainly don’t think the Padres will hold him back if the need arises.

Luis Patino: You can pretty much say the same thing about Patino as Gore. And it may just be your personal preference on which pitcher you trust more long-term.

But there is the chance that both of these guys give you some innings in 2020 as well.

Edward Olivares: If you’re looking to take a hot name that could blow up, there might not be a player getting more love in Padres’ summer camp than Olivares.

Whether you’re in a dynasty league or just looking for a sleeper late in the draft, Olivares is someone to watch.

Zach Davies: He’s been a really solid pitcher for several years now in Milwaukee, but moving to a pitcher-friendly ballpark in San Diego, I think we could see Davies have his best year yet in 2020.

This is certainly a sleeper pick to keep an eye on late in the draft, or he’s most likely a free agent in your league that you can pick up.
