Today’s weather was very anti-San Diego. It was humid. It was raining heavily. And unlike Saturday night, it did not end. Today’s matchup with the visiting Colorado Rockies has been cancelled. The game was cancelled in the fifth inning, the San Diego Padres trailing 0-1.

The game will be made up on September 10th.
Tickets for today's game will be honored at the 9/10 game or can be exchanged for an equally valued ticket based on availability before 9/10

Since the game has been cancelled, all stats do not count, so the Padres and Rockies will be playing a full game and not resuming in the fifth again. Which means, the Padres technically swept the Rockies this weekend, 2-0. Nice way to start off the second half of the season, but they’ll have a tougher time on Monday against the visiting San Francisco Giants.
While fans at today’s game did not get to watch much action, they managed to find a way to entertain themselves.
