25. San Diego Padres
Kicking off Part Two of our MLB uniform rankings is our own San Diego Padres. Look, we’re a Padres fan blog, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be honest about our team’s shortcomings.
I won’t get too into the #bringbackbrown debate, but they should. Blue and white is just too boring. If they won’t bring back the brown, then bringing back Orange would help a lot.
My biggest issue with the Padres unis is the “Padres” script on their home whites. I hate it, especially that “P”. It looks like something you’d see on a shampoo bottle.
I do think the camo fade in sports has gotten out of hand, but the Padres did it first, so they own it.

24. Houston Astros
The Astros made a great decision to bring back and slightly update their classic look. With the exception of their orange alternate jersey, I think the rest of their uni set is pretty solid. I like them, there’s just more uniforms I like more.

23. Minnesota Twins
The Twins drop a few spot in my eyes by adding gold to their new home white jersey’s and caps. Completely unnecessary and a step down in my opinions. I still prefer the pinstripe look from the Kirby Puckett era.
The Twins have a pretty established identity, plus I love their pinstripe throwbacks/alternates.

22. Milwaukee Brewers
As I’ve mentioned before, not a fan of real gold on a baseball uniform. The barley incorporated in the uniform is nice, but I think takes the team name a little too literal.
Also, why on earth did they ever get rid of these? If it was their primary, it would probably be one of the best caps in baseball.

21. Texas Rangers
The Rangers unis are pretty solid and the overall look of them hasn’t changed much the last few years. Again, nothing really against them other than I like the other uniforms ranked ahead of them more.
What do you guys think? Any upsets or surprises yet? We’ll be back tomorrow with numbers 20 – 16.
