The 2014 regular season is a little over halfway done. There have been things that have surprised us and things that have not. One of my favorite things to do is predictions. I am someone who never gets bored. Whenever I get close, I just make sports predictions. I have put together my predictions at the mid-season point, projecting the end results of the 2014 season. I am interested to hear feedback on this piece. I encourage comments. Here are my predictions at the midway point…

The Athletics made some bold moves bolstering an already strong rotation. I believe they made moves bold enough to make a World Series run. In fact, I think an All-California World Series is not out of the question at all. It does make me squirm to think that the Dodgers could go to the World Series, but arch nemesis or not, they have a talented roster and could spend more money before the trade deadline to get better. I think the end result will look similar to the standings we see today.
