The San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics completed their trade from over a week ago today, as pitcher Ronald Herrera comes to the team to complete the deal that initially sent power-hitting outfielder/first baseman Kyle Blanks to the A’s for outfielder Jake Goebbert. Herrera had been pitching in the Midwest League with a record of 3-4, and an ERA of 3.38.

Since leaving San Diego, Blanks is hitting .250 in 11 games and 24 at-bats, with a home run and a lone RBI. Herrera will be assigned to Ft. Wayne in the Padres’ minor league system.
