The El Paso Chihuahuas (15-18) defeated the Fresno Grizzlies (16-18) 6-2. Jonathan Galvez (2-for-2) led the team with a first inning home run. It was a team effort for the Chihuahuas as no player had more than 1 RBI. Carlos Quentin, who is on a rehab assignment, pinch-hit in the top of the seventh, flying out to left field. Chihuahua starter Keyvius Sampson pitched 7 innings of 1 run ball with 7 strikeouts earning his first win of the season.

The Lake Elsinore Storm (20-14) lost to the Lancaster JetHawks (20-14) 3-1.
Lake Elsinore’s offense could not help starter Colin Rea overcome his 3-run 2nd inning. The Storm’s only run came on an RBI double by B.J. Guinn scoring Luis Tejada from first. Lancaster starter Brian Holmes struck out 6 in 4 innings with Jamaine Cotton earning his 4th save on the season for the JetHawks.
Tonight Lancaster starter Mike Hauschild (2-1, 4.55 ERA) face the Storm, which as of this writing has not announced a starter. First pitch is scheduled for 10:05pm ET.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps (13-15) lost to the Lansing Lugnuts (16-16) 12-5.
TinCap DH Dane Phillips lead the team with 2 RBIs increasing his seaon total to 16 on the season. First Baseman Fernando Perez went 2-for-5 with a RBI to raise his season average to .339. Starter Coby Cowgill did not have a night to remember lasting 5 innings giving up 8 hits, 6 runs (5 earned), 2 walks. He will spend his time between starts looking to fine tune his delivery.
