Here is the “Daily Roundup,” Friars fans:

  • Once thought to be a formidable “One-Two Punch” in the Yankees’ starting rotation, Wallace Matthews of ESPN New York wrote a terrific piece on Ian Kennedy and Phil Hughes before they faced each other on Sunday afternoon.  Both players have not exactly pan-out in the fashion New York’s brass wanted them to, yet both have had their moments as solid starters over the last half-decade.
