AT&T U-Verse Reaches Deal To Carry Fox Sports San Diego

Better late than never, I suppose. On the final day of the regular season, Fox Sports San Diego and AT&T U-Verse reached an agreement for the cable provider to carry FSSD. The channel debuted on the cable provider on Wednesday. The channel is 776 on AT&T(1776 in HD).

The deal will allow Padres fans to see over 150 games on the cable provider next year, and the network will also televise the Los Angeles Clippers, Anaheim Ducks, and SDSU basketball in 2013.

It is an important deal, as it gives North County residents an opportunity to watch Padres games, without having to subscribe to a satellite provider. Perhaps this will be the first step in ending Fox’s stalemate with Time Warner.
