A couple of weeks ago I was hired to be a Staff Writer for this site, so I figured I’d give you a short introduction about myself and what I hope to bring to Chicken Friars.
I was born in and spent most of my childhood in San Diego so I have been a Padres fan my entire life. My favorite childhood memories revolved around going to Padres and SDSU Aztecs football games at Jack Murphy Stadium, so writing for this website is something that I am totally geeked up about. My ultimate goal is to provide you the readers with some intelligent and interesting analysis that is also enjoyable to read. At the moment I will be contributing here-and-there until a new Editor is found. But once that is squared away, I will be providing 2 articles per week for Chicken Friars.
In terms of my writing experience, I am currently a Staff Writer for the Fansided Steelers blog “Nice Pick, Cowher” (its a long story as to why they are my favorite football team, but I live and die with that franchise), and I hold a B.A. in History from the University of Arizona where I graduated cum laude.
I’ll have an article up by the middle of next week that recaps what has gone on since the regular season has ended. But until then I just wanted to let you the readers know a bit about me before I start posting for the site.
Can’t wait to start,
-Dom
