Padres Battle to Victory Again!

Padres 7 – Giants 5

How about these Padres!!! We are battling back and are just scrapping our way back to relevancy. The youngsters have figured out how to put runs on the board and the team is coming together.

Kyle Blanks is killing the ball and hit his 6th homerun of the year off of Matt Cain. He drove in a couple of runs in the game. The big hit came from Alberto Gonzalez in the 9th to bring in the go-ahead run and secure the lead to Heath Bell.

We had a 5-2 lead heading into the 9th inning, but Luke Gregerson and Josh Spence made the game dramatic for the fans. They blew the lead and it took 4 pitchers to get out of the 8th inning. Thank goodness for the clutch hitting in the 9th to bring back the lead! Bell saved his 35th game of the year and this team is rolling with their 5th straight victory!!

Can you believe that we still have a chance in this thing? It might be a small glimmer of light, but there is a possibility!
