Padres Lose Again In Extras
New York Mets 5 – San Diego Padres 4
Maybe the Padres are setting themselves up to AVOID the sweep again like they LOVE to do. Maybe we just like to play free baseball and come away with a loss.
We played this game in 10 innings and Josh Spence took the loss. Spence came in during the 10th inning of the game and was not able to record an out. He didn’t even give up a hit, but he did walk 2 batters and one of those batters came around to score the winning run.
The Padres fell behind early in the game, when Harang gave up 3 runs in the first inning. The Padres mounted a comeback in the 7th after a 2-run home run from Will Venable. Then in the 8th we tied it up with Jesus Guzman bringing home a run. The comeback fell short though and the Mets eventually took the game.
