Series Preview: Padres vs Marlins
By Ernie Padaon

We get to hit the road and head out to Miami to face the Marlins. At least we don’t have Petco Park to blame our offensive struggles on.
Will we make a trade before the end of this series or will we make a trade before the team returns home? We will have to see what kids we bring up from the farm during this stretch to see what promise we have for the future.
Here are the pitching matchups for the series:
Game 1:
Tim Stauffer vs Anibal Sanchez
Stauff has been consistent and we just hope for another quality start from him and hope that we are able to score some runs off of Anibal.
Game 2:
Aaron Harang vs Ricky Nolasco
Harang has come off of the DL and pitched 13 straight scoreless innings. Could he be showcasing himself for a contending club on this start?
Game 3:
Dustin Moseley vs Javier Vazquez
Javier has been terrible this season, but he gets to face Dustin Moseley and that means that he will pitch a shutout and strike out double digit batters. Mose has had the worst luck on the team all season and will be trying to avoid his 10th loss on the season.
Prediction:
I am going to go out on a limb and predict 2 wins in this series. We win with Stauff and Harang on the mound and then after we get our hopes up for a sweep, the Marlins beat us down in game 3 to wipe out any of our memories of us winning.
