Praise Jesus! Guzman Leads Padres Offense

Padres 11 – Gnats 3

I had to check the scoreboard twice to make sure it was right. I even thought that San Fran was the team that lit up the scoreboard and not us. What a pleasant surprise to see the Padres put up runs.

Jesus Guzman got the start at first against the lefty Zito and jumpstarted the offense in the first inning with a 3-run bomb to left. He also added another RBI later in the game. Orlando Hudson also jumped in on the 3-run home run action.

Thank goodness for the early game to help juice up the offense. Scoring runs is fun!
