San Diego Padres 1 – Milwaukee Brewers 0

It was singles night at the ballpark, but by looking out at the crowd size in the ballpark, San Diego has a bunch of married folk.

In one of the most boring games ever played, the Padres and the Brewers played to a scoreless tie for 8 1/2 innings. Aaron Harang pitched 8 innings of shutout baseball and Heath Bell pitched a scoreless ninth inning to get the victory.

The Padres came up in the ninth inning and Ryan Ludwick led it off with a single. Buddy pulled him for a pinch runner and put in Eric Patterson who stole second. Brad Hawpe came in to pinch hit for Jorge Cantu and was intentionally walked to put runners on first and second. Cameron Maybin came up to bat and laid down a perfect bunt to move the runners up to second and third with one out. Chase Headley was then intentionally walked and that brought up the O-Dogg to make finish off his return in style. Hudson hit a sacrifice fly out to right field to drive in Eric Patterson for the walk-off victory.

The team really needed that victory! Tomorrow we take on the “hated” Seattle Mariners.
