Streak ends at 2

We came into the game with our longest win steak of the season. It’s sad because it was just a two game win streak, but we were looking to extend the streak tonight. We also went into
The game sporting our camo uniforms to honor our military for their efforts in the war. It seemed like the momentum was with us…

And then we started playing the game. Aaron Harang started out the game by giving the Pirates a quick four run lead. The Pirates didn’t mind the dimensions of Petco and blasted a couple of home runs off of our starter. The pirates were then held scoreless for the rest of the game.

The Padres offense was not able to come back from the deficit. Four runs is just too much for our offense to come back from right now. Jorge Cantu tried to bring the team back into the game by launching a 2-run shot and the boys were able to drive in another run in the eighth. We tried to rally in the ninth, but that ended when Will Venable swung at the first pitch he saw that was low and away to end the game.
