San Diego Padres 0 – Philadelphia Phillies 2

W: Cole Hamels (2-1, 2.92)
L: Clayton Richard (1-1, 3.95)
SV: Ryan Madson (1)

Another day and another shutout! Should we be surprised at this point?

We are now on pace to be shutout in 48 games this season. Our scoreless drought is now up to 21 straight innings. We were only able to get 4 hits in the game and it was just another pitiful performance by the offense.

The pitching staff did their part again and held the Phillies to 2 runs. Clayton Richard pitched 7 1/3 solid innings in his start and will get the loss. Even if he shutout the Phillies he would have a no decision.

Anyone that can throw a ball, can come in here and shut our offense down. It is a sad group of hitters and we are ready to see a change. Something needs to change and fast!

9 strikeouts, 4 hits and ZERO runs… this is a bad habit that will drive the fans nutty.
