Moseley pitching, must mean we got shut out

San Diego Padres 0 – Houston Astros 1

W: Bud Norris (1-1)
L: Dustin Moseley (0-3)
S: Brandon Lyon (2)

Dustin Moseley deserves much better! He has pitched lights out in his first three starts and the offense has given him zero runs in each of those starts. Moseley has been a stud for us and we just have not given him any offensive love.

Our offense is pretty bad, but when Moseley is on the mound, we become much worse. The Padres were only able to put together three hits against Bud Norris and the Houston Astros pitching staff. We struck out a total of 10 times in the game and made Norris look like a star.

Our shining dud in the offense was Ryan Ludwick, who went a total of 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts and left 7 men on base. Just a pitiful performance from the Padres offense in a hitter friendly ballpark. I guess we can’t blame Petco for the poor offense anymore.
