Triple-A: Colorado Springs Sky Sox 12 – Tucson Padres 2

Pitching prospect Simon Castro was beat up for 8 earned runs in his 4 innings pitched to get the loss. On offense, 2B Logan Forsythe and 1B Anthony Rizzo continued their hot start to the season. Forsythe got on base three times (2 walks and a hit) and scored two runs. Rizzo went 3-for-4 in the game and had his 8th and 9th RBI of the season.

Double-A: San Antonio Missions 5 – Tulsa Drillers 7

3B James Darnell went 2-for-4 in the game and LF Jaff Decker walked twice. The bullpen was not able to close out the game for starter Rob Musgrave. Musgrave pitched 4 1/3 innings and had 4 strikeouts and gave up only one run. Brad Brach blew the save after giving up 4 runs and was only able to record 1 out.

Class A Advanced: San Jose Giants 10 – Lake Elsinore Storm 0

San Jose Giants starting pitcher Zack Wheeler pitched 5 no-hit innings against the Storm and got the victory.

Class A: South Bend Silver Hawks 19 – Fort Wayne Tin Caps 4

Donovan Tate went 2-for-4 at the plate with 2 doubles and an RBI in the losing effort.
