Aaron Harang bounced back from his previous start to pitch 4 strong innings in his start against the White Sox. He got his first win of the spring giving up one run, on a homerun to Lastings Milledgem with 2 strikeouts while forcing 8 ground ball outs.
Cory Luebke came in to relieve Harang and also got 4 innings of work. He did not do as well though, giving up 2 homeruns and 4 runs total, but he did strike out 7 batters.
The Padres offense put together 12 hits to score 7 runs. They put up 3 runs on former Padres pitcher Jake Peavy. Mike Baxter hit a 2-run shot off of him in the 4th inning. Chris Denorfia added a homerun in the 7th inning off of Phillip Humber.
