Padres Offer Ryan Ludwick Arbitration

The San Diego Padres will offer Ryan Ludwick arbitration and they expect him to play in LF to open up the season. The starting outfield looks to be set with Ryan Ludwick in left, newly acquired Cameron Maybin in center, and Will Venable in right. Ludwick will provide solid defense in left and is one of the few people that can provide offense in the middle of the order.

Ludwick struggled as a Padre:
59 Games
.211 Avg
6 HR
26 RBI

He has a proven track record and will be the most reliable hitter in the Padres outfield. He is a 20 HR guy that will bat around .260 and should bring in 70-80 RBIs a season. Starting with the ball club in spring training may give him the comfort level needed to bring back those offensive numbers.
