The injury-riddled career of Steve Garrison has seemingly hit another snag, as he’s been placed on Portland’s DL. Specifics on his injury weren’t given, but he didn’t make it out of the first inning in his last start, so something was clearly bothering him.
Garrison, 23, was 1-3 with an 8.87 ERA in five starts with Portland this year. He missed most of last year with arm troubles and didn’t get into game action this season until June. The lefthander put together only two decent starts in five for the Beavers after making three okay High-A starts to get back in game shape.
Hopefully the injury isn’t serious and Garrison can get a few more innings in this season. Hopefully he can regain his past form when healthy; he’s still young enough to have time on his side given that he’s already in Triple-A.
