Padres Sign 4th, 5th & 11th Round Picks, Assign All Three to Eugene

The Padres have signed three high position player draft picks in 2B Chris Bisson (4th round), OF Jablonski Noel (5th round), and SS Brian Guinn (11th round).

All three were assigned to short-season Eugene. Bisson and Guinn’s arrival could mean a Jedd Gyorko promotion is soon in the cards.

Guinn, regarded as a slick fielder, made three errors in his first game, but it’s his first pro game, so I’ll cut him some slack. Noel, one of the best picks in the draft in my opinion, played center and had a 1-for-4 debut. Bisson has yet to debut, but he is listed on the Emeralds’ roster.

The Padres have now signed half of their first twelve picks, and 28 overall, plus one undrafted free agent.
