Rehabbing Padres shortstop Everth Cabrera had two hits in his third rehab game today, including a double.
Sure, that may not sound all that impressive, but when you consider that the rest of the Portland lineup had one hit–a single from pinch-hitter Josh Barfield–it looks quite good.
Cabrera is now 3-for-10 across his three rehab games in Triple-A. Hopefully, when he gets back to San Diego, he can stay healthy and show some of his 2009 form.
The Beavers managed to win the game despite just having the three hits. They won 2-1 in seven innings in the first game of a doubleheader. Tim Stauffer held opponent Fresno to one run in 6 1/3, allowing five hits and three walks while striking out five.
