Report: Logan White Accepts Job With Padres, Leaves Dodgers

According to CBS Sports and MLB Network insider Jon Heyman, Los Angeles Dodgers’ executive Logan White, is leaving the NL Western Division champions and has accepted a position with the San Diego Padres.

White is credited with scouting and drafting several of the young core of current Dodgers’ superstars including Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw and MVP finalist Matt Kemp, All-Star Russell Martin and closer Kenley Jansen. What position he is accepting with San Diego has yet to be announced, but it’s safe to assume that it is a senior-level position within the organization, centered around White’s expertise of scouting. This is a coup for the Padres, who strengthen their own organization by hiring White, and weakening their direct competition with the Dodgers. White had spent the past dozen+ years with Los Angeles.
