Padres Manager Bud Black to Be in Broadcast Booth for NLCS

The San Diego Padres manager, Bud Black is set to be joining the broadcast desk that is comprised of Kevin Burkhardt, Gabe Kapler and C.J. Nitkowski for the National League Championship Series on Fox Sports 1. Bud Black will be on the alternate telecast with this panel, which will be broadcast on FS1, while the game broadcast will be shown on FOX.

According to Just a Bit Outside, the panel will analyze batter/pitcher match-ups, umpire tendencies, defensive shifts, controversial calls, and the debatable managerial moves that always seem to be brought up in October baseball. The Giants and Cardinals will play Game One on Saturday, October 11th, at 5 PM PDT from Busch Stadium in St. Louis. How ironic that Black will get the chance to question his predecessor in San Diego, current Giants’ skipper Bruce Bochy?

The pitching match-up is only halfway complete, as Adam Wainwright will go for the Cardinals, against as of right now a yet to be announced starting pitcher for the Giants.
