Dick Enberg in Top 10 of Ford Frick Award

Padres Broadcaster Dick Enberg has made it into the Top ten of finalists for the Ford C. Frick Award which is given out annually to a member of the Baseball Broadcasting community.The Broadcasters that are in the top 10 this year are known as “Living Room Era” Broadcasters, most of them came from their contributions to Baseball broadcasting came from the mid 1950’s through to the mid 1980’s.

Thanks to the voting of the fans, Dick Enberg has made the Top 10!

The Winner of this Award will be honored at the Baseball Hall of Fame ceremony in July of 2015.

The Winner will be announced on December 10th during the Winter Meetings in San Diego, so vote early and often Friar Faithful, so we can give one of our own an Award he deserves. Dick Enberg has been considered one of the best Sports Broadcasters in the business for a long time, and it is always fun listening to his play by play for Padres Baseball for the past few years.

Here’s to our very own Dick Enberg, and we wish him the best of luck in winning this Prestigious honor and we hope he gets honored at the Baseball Hall of Fame next July.
