Padres Look to Extend Win Streak Against Giants

The Padres are looking to extend their win streak to two games when they face off against the Giants in Game 3 of a 4 game set on Saturday at AT&T Park. The Friars will send Eric Stults to the bump today (8-17) witha 4.42 ERA, to face off against Giants starter and former Padre Jake Peavy (6-4) with a 2.20 ERA.

One of the Padres hottest hitters in this series has been Yasmani Grandal he hit two home runs in the first game, with one of them being a Grand Slam, in last nights game he went 1 for 3 and scored a run. The Giants hitter to watch out for would be Brandon Crawford who has been giving the Padres trouble this year, last night he drove in the only Giant run of the game with a sacrifice fly.

The Padres are looking to try and finish the season with 79 wins, they have already won the most games at Petco Park since it opened in 2004, they will look to try and finish with a better record than last year.

The Padres lead the season series (10-7) over the Giants and have officially beat the Giants this year in the season series. The Padres and Giants go at it at 1:05 PM PDT today.
