Single A: Eugene Emeralds (24-30)

Eugene got caught the hitting bug as well, putting together 13 hits in a 7-6 victory over the Hillsboro Hops. The Emeralds did all of their damage in the first and second innings.

And Michael Miller scored on a Yale Rosen single. Trae Santos hit a fly ball to right to end the inning. Zechariah Lemond gave up a homer in the bottom half of the first which cut the lead to 3-1.

In the second Miguel Del Castillo doubled, Bousfield walked, and Stevens doubled in both men. Miller doubled Stevens to third,a and Cordero singled in both men. The rally fizzled to a close over the next few batters.

Hillsboro put up three in the third off of Lemond, who would pitch through the fourth before being pulled. The Hops would score two more runs in the sixth inning off of Eugene reliever, Wilson Santos, before eventually running out of steam.
