The El Paso Chihuahuas lost to the Albuquerque Isotopes 8-4.

Matt Wisler had a tough second start since being called up from Double-A San Antonio. Wisler gave up back-to-back homeruns in the first innings putting the Chihuahuas in a deficit that they would never overcome.

The Chihuahua’s line up would also had three home runs from Alex Castellanos, Johnathan Galvez, and Jeff Francoeur.

Tonight the Chihuahuas look to even the series sending Juan Pablo Oramas (2-1, 5.17 ERA) against Isotope starter Red Patterson (2-1, 3.90 ERA). First Pitch is at 3:05 pm ET.

The San Antonio Missions played lost both games in doubleheader against the Midland RockHounds 8-2, 7-2.

Midland pitchers kept the Missions’ offense in check. The lone bright spot coming in the second game off the bat of Adam Buchini going 3-for-4 with an RBI. The Missions will need to rediscover their offense if they look to beat Midland tonight.

The Missions send Josh Geer (1-4, 3.29 ERA) to the mound against Midland RockHounds’ starter Shawn Haviland (1-2, 3.60 ERA). First pitch is at 3:00 pm ET.

The Lake Elsinore Storm lost to the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes 8-3.

The Storm never recovered from the Quakes scoring 5 runs in the first three innings. Bryan Rodriguez fell to 0-3 on the season allowing 5 runs (4 earned) on seven hits and 4 walks.
