According to Jon Morosi of Fox Sports, the Padres have inked starting pitcher Josh Johnson to a 1 year/$8 million deal for the 2014 season.

Morosi describes the deal as a good one for both sides.  Johnson is coming off an injury plagued 2013 season as well as offseason surgery.  Pitching at Petco Park will help Johnson regain his All-Star form, and he will help bolster a starting rotation that is quickly becoming one of the better rotations in the National League.
